Han River Poems from Taichung is a collection of a hundred poems written in 2013-2014 with illustrative photographs on-line. I pause to reflect on life in the shimmering waters of the Han River in Taichung, Taiwan. Philosophical anarchism, disdain for material wealth and society, and love of liberty, in the tradition of Han-Shan, the naturalist Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty, who refused to live in a world of pretense that disregarded nature.
In my second poetry collection, inspired by the Han River and life in Taichung, I delve deeper into the undercurrent as an expat on the beautiful island of Taiwan. Read a poem.

The working class and the employing class have nothing in common. There can be no peace so long as hunger and want are found among millions of the working people and the few, who make up the employing class, have all the good things of life. Between these two classes a struggle must go on until the workers of the world organize as a class, take possession of the means of production, abolish the wage system, and live in harmony with the Earth.
